Recognition of Viet Uc - Phu My Co., Ltd. as a high-tech agricultural enterprise

On October 21, 2025, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province issued Decision No. 2317/QD-UBND recognizing Viet Uc - Phu My Co., Ltd. as a high-tech agricultural enterprise

The project "High-tech commercial shrimp farm in greenhouses" was granted the investment certificate by the Provincial People's Committee on June 30, 2015, associated with the establishment of Viet Uc - Phu My Co., Ltd. (under the Viet Uc Group founded by Mr. Luong Thanh Van, an overseas Vietnamese in Australia).

The project implements a commercial white-leg shrimp farm on a total area of 116.34 hectares in Hoa Hoi Nam village, An Luong commune; with a capacity of 8,400 tons/year; average yield of 30 - 40 tons/ha/crop. Viet Uc - Phu My Company Limited was certified as a High-Tech Agricultural Enterprise in 2020 (valid for 5 years, until 2025).

Currently, Viet Uc Phu My Company Limited has 148 employees, of which 95% are local people. The average income is from 10-11 million VND/person/month.

On October 21, 2025, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2317/QD-UBND recognizing Viet Uc - Phu My Company Limited as a high-tech agricultural enterprise (valid for 05 years, until 2030).

In Viet Nam, the high-tech agricultural enterprise certificate is a prestigious certificate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), issued under Decision 19/2018/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister stipulating the criteria, competence, order and procedures for recognizing high-tech agricultural enterprises.

The certificate is based on the criteria for evaluating enterprises, ensuring the creation of agricultural products with high quality, productivity, value and efficiency, having research and testing activities applying high technology, transferring technology for production; being environmentally friendly, saving energy in production and quality management, meeting Vietnamese or international standards and technical regulations.

Viet Uc is currently the first seafood corporation in Vietnam with 10 companies achieving this valuable certification. They are Viet Uc members in the provinces of Ca Mau, An Giang, Vinh Long, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Nghe An, and most recently a northern member - Viet Uc Quang Ninh.
