The delegation of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) visits Binh Dinh

On the morning of April 12, 2024, at the Provincial People's Committee Office, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan met with the delegation of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA) led by Mr. Urs Unkauf - Federal Managing Director & Leader of the Delegation.

The meeting was attended by leaders of the Departments: Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, and Foreign Affairs; Economic Zone Administration; Timber and Forest Product Association; Quy Nhon Port Joint Stock Company; Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company and Quy Nhon University.

Chairman Pham Anh Tuan presented general information about Binh Dinh province, the province's potential advantages, orientations and investment policies. For investors from the Federal Republic of Germany, he emphasized that the province wanted to invite investment in high-tech fields, AI, environmentally friendly processing industry, marine infrastructure and a number of manufacturing and processing industries and several sectors of the province's strengths including wood, stone and seafood. The provincial leadership would support to provide the most favorable conditions for businesses, including German businesses, when investing in the locality.

Mr. Urs Unkauf expressed his pleasure to visit the province, meet with provincial leaders and representatives of local departments and sectors. He hoped that through this business trip, the BWA delegation would build a bridge between the German business community and Vietnamese businesses in the areas of mutual interest.

At the meeting, business representatives of the BWA delegation briefed on their own business; they also shared information about the investment areas they were interested in the coming time such as pharmaceuticals, education and training, and urban development…

After the meeting, the delegation spent time visiting and surveying Quy Nhon Port, Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and Becamex Industrial Park.

The Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA): BWA is a prestigious economic organization of the entire German Federation. BWA currently has more than 1,300 member businesses. BWA focuses on economic and trade development based on other factors such as politics, business, culture and science and technology.

BWA's headquarters is in Berlin, but connection activities spread in all states and regions in Germany. In partnership with the United Nation Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) the BWA is an official supporting organization of the World Trade Point Federation in Germany, a global project data base for entrepreneurs. The access to current advertisements, offers and information from more than 100 Trade Points in 70 countries worldwide are a valuable advantage for small and middle sized enterprises.
