Gia Lai province invites investors to implement the Hon Trau Wind Power Plant Project Phase 1, with a capacity of 750MW

The Department of Finance of Gia Lai province has recently issued Notice No. 186/TB-STC dated November 14, 2025 on inviting interest in the Hon Trau Wind Power Plant Project - Phase 1 in the communes and wards: Phu My Dong, Phu My Bac, Phu My Tay, Binh Duong, Ngo May, Cat Tien, Tuy Phuoc Dong, Quy Nhon Dong, Gia Lai province.

The project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment with a designed capacity of 750 MW, expected electricity output of about 2.8 billion kWh/year, connected to the national grid via the 220 kV double-circuit line system and Hon Trau 1 transformer station connecting to Phu My and Nhon Hoi. The total value is more than VND 48,372 billion (including compensation, support, and resettlement costs of about VND 33.18 billion; project implementation cost of about VND 48,339 billion).

The project implementation area is 49.62 hectares, including: water surface area (sea area) for temporary use of about 32.01 hectares; land area for temporary use of about 17.61 hectares.

With the goal of providing clean electricity output from renewable energy sources for the national power system, contributing to ensuring national energy security, ensuring power sources to serve the socio-economic development needs of the province, reducing power loss in the power transmission system. The project, when put into stable operation, will contribute to the local budget revenue, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development in the area, creating jobs for the people. Also, it will increase the industrial production value, contributing to achieving the target of double-digit economic growth in the coming time in the province.

Interested investors who need to register to implement the project must carry out the procedures to be granted a digital certificate and submit the project registration application on the Vietnam National Electronic Procurement System (VNEPS). The deadline for submitting applications is 16:00 on December 5, 2025.
