The Provincial People’s Committee has recently directed the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to cooperate with Quy Nhon City People’s Committee and the Provincial Land Resource Centre to provide some land for Kim Cuc Investment and Construction Limited Company to carry out their multi-functional building project.

The Export Support Centre (Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency) co-ordinates with VietinBank Travel Company to hold a trade survey at the China Import and Export Fair - Canton Fair 2011 in Guangzhou (China) around April - May of 2011.

Many prominent investment promotion events of the province and region took place in 2010. The investment promotion activities have gained significant outcomes; organizing events, preparing and popularizing the provincial image have been performed professionally. The quantity and quality of the the projects calling for investment at conferences and forums have also improved.

This was a comment made by Ms Pham Chi Lan, a high level economic expert, at the seminar ‘Experiences in improving the transparency of the investment environment of Vietnamese provinces and cities’ in Da Nang city organized by Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) on 14/01/2010. The comment was approved by representatives from Central Highland provinces.

In the morning of 16/12/2010, Mr Le Van Tam, Director of Binh Dinh Department of Planning and Investment had a meeting with Mr Ngo Chan Ly, Commercial attaché of the French Trade Commission - UbiFrance of the Embassy of France in Viet Nam during his visit to Binh Dinh Province. The meeting was also attended by the heads of the Investment Promotion Center, Binh Dinh Timber and Forest Products Association.

Seminar on Investment and Trade  Promotion for the key economic region of the Central Region and Central Highlands will be held on June 6, 2010 in Hue city within the frame of the international trade fair of the key economic region of the Central Region and Central Highlands (CREXPO 2010) by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce together with the other central ministries and Thua Thien Hue province.

The provicial People’s Committee has just had a written agreement in principle for Quy Nhon City People's Committee to call for investment in local markets in Quy Nhon City

In the morning of 1 March 2010, the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) held a Meeting to discuss solutions for accelerating implementation of development investment plan in 2010, chaired by the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of  the PPC.

At the Binh Dinh investment promotion conference, foreign and domestic companies pledged to invest 22 projects with total registered capital of over USD7.35 billion in Binh Dinh province. Among them, 13 investors received the investment certificates and nine were signed in investment commitments.

Saigon Phu Gia Trade Service and Office building Center invested by Saigon Phu Gia Investment Joint Stock Company will start construction in the first quarter of 2010 in Le Duan St., Quy Nhon City. The total investment capital reaches VND 1.041 billion.

On the afternoon of January 4, 2010 at the Saigon - Quy Nhon Hotel, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province held a Press Meeting on Investment Promotion Conference into Binh Dinh 2010. Chairman Nguyen Van Thien and leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment, Binh Dinh Economic Zone Administration chaired the Press Meeting. Joining the Meeting were more than 20 newspaper reporters, Vietnam central and local TV stations.

In order to prepare well for the Investment Promotion Conference into Binh Dinh dated on 20 January 2010, a two-day meeting was scheduled on 28-29 December 2009 with the attendance of the mission of Binh Dinh Province led by Chairman Nguyen Van Thien, the Party Committee of Central Businesses, Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) to discuss specific contents for the Conference.

Conference on Investment Promotion into Binh Dinh Province 2010 with the title “Binh Dinh - an attractive destination for investors” is expected to take place on 20 January 2010 in Quy Nhon City, aiming to introduce and popularize images of Binh Dinh Province with a quite diversified and abundant potential; people and open policies; sccientific and reasonable development orientations; specific investment opportunities, thereby creating a breakthrough in attracting investment into the province, expecially Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and Industrial Zones.

On December 7, 2009, the provincial People's Committee issued the Document No. 4209 on agreement in principle for H.B.C Investment and Service Joint Stock Company to make a detailed plan of 1/500 scale to build an oasis at Quy Nhon sea (on Bai Can beach) in Area A for the project of Mui Tan - Tran Hung Dao Statue tourism and service area, restoring Tran Hung Dao Statue into a tourist area of unique architecture and creating a tourist destination with its own characteristic of Quy Nhon City.

The provincial People’s Committee (PPC) has just issued the dispatch on allotting the land area at 16 Nguyen Hue St., Quy Nhon City (Department of Transportation is using, with area of 4,518.8m²) to Nam Viet Real Estate Joint Stock Company for constructing hotel, trading services and office for rent.

In the morning of 6 November, 2009, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam, Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Dinh province (DPI) had a working meeting with Mr. Shunsuke Kuroda, senior expert of Sunbeam Shipping Co., Ltd (Japan), Mr Huynh Huu Dung, Chairman of Hoang Mai Trading Limited Company (Vietnam). Also attending the meeting are representatives of Binh Dinh Investment Promotion Center, Center for Planning and Construction inspection of Binh Dinh province.

Within the frame of the National trade promotion program 2009, the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Dinh Province co-ordinates with Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade to hold the International Trade Fair of the Central Region and the Central Highlands (CREXPO 2009) from 24 - 29 December, 2009 at the Strait Park, An Duong Vuong Street, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.

On October 26, 2009, the Binh Dinh People's Committee has granted investment certificate for the project of 30,000 Dwt container wharf  - Quy Nhon port, achieving the output of 290,000 TEU per year by 2016 (equivalent to 3.045 million tons per year).

On 10 October 2009, the Provincial Labor Union held a meeting for business leaders on the occasion of  Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day. Attending the meeting were Mr. Le Huu Loc- Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; leaders of related departments and leaders of more than 50 enterprises in the province.
