The provincial People’s Committee has just issued the dispatch to entrust the Department of Planning and Investment with the co-ordination with related agencies for detailed plan to attend Vietnam Tourism Property Opportunity Conference 2009 (VnTPO 2009) which will be held on October 21-22, 2009 in Ho Chi Minh City.

On 6 August 2009, the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province granted the investment certificate (IC) for the Central Mineral Joint Stock Company to construct the iron ore processing plant at Dien Khanh Hamlet, Hoai Duc Commune, Hoai Nhon District, Binh Dinh Province. The factory capitalizing at VND 276.43 billion, which is one of the large scale iron ore processing plants all over the country, covers on an area of 21 hectares, with the capacity of 400,000 tonnes per year.

The Binh Dinh People’s Committee has approved the detailed plan of 1/500 scale for Community of tourist, history, ecology and spirit at Linh Phong Pagoda, invested by An Phu Investment Development of Urban and Energy Joint Stock Company.

Under the plan, on June 18th in Quy Nhon city, a workshop to introduce the Vietnam-Japan Economic Cooperation Agreement (VJECA) will be held by the Department of Planning and Investment in association with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Da Nang branch (VCCI Da Nang ).

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong paid a working visit to Binh Dinh from May 22nd to 23rd. After meeting with the provincial officials, he visited the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and he was also briefed on its achievements.

The People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province has just released the dispatch to permit Dai Ngoc Viet Joint Stock Company (HCMC) and consultancy companies to form the project of dredging An Du Estuary (Hoai Nhon District) and Ha Ra Estuary (Phu My District) which shall be sent to the provincial People’s Committee to submit to the Ministry of Argricututre and Rural Development, and relevant ministries, central agencies for consideration and approval.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) is proposing to set up the fund to be backed up by the Vietnamese government, donors and banks. The MPI said the fund would provide private investors with loans at attractive interest rates when investing in infrastructure projects under the public-private partnership (PPP) form.

Central Binh Dinh province is calling on investors for 12 big tourism projects, according to the provincial People’s Committee.

The government of Vietnam is expected to spend VND29 trillion (USD1.716 billion) to launch investment promotion activities this year.

The People Committee of Binh Dinh Province has just released a dispach approving in principle to allow Tuy Phuoc Electrical Construction & Installation Joint Stock Company to invest in the project of building and operating the technical infrastructure of Ta Suc Industrial Cluster covering on a area of 19.7 hectas in  Vinh Quang Commune, Vinh Thanh District, Binh Dinh Province.

In the morning of 4 February 2009, at the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of Binh Dinh People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thien received and held a talk with How Yu Construction Limited Company; Far Eastern Bank (Taiwan) - branch in HCMC, Vietnam Property Holding Fund and Thanh Nien Joint Stock Co. Also joining the meeting are leaders of the departments of Planning and Investment, Natural resouces and  Environment, Industry and Trade, Construction, Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Administration.
