Signing contract to provide equipment for Vinh Son 5

On the morning of March 22, 2010, Vinh Son Investment Joint Stock Company (VSI) and Union Resources & Engineering Co., Ltd (UREC, China) held the contract signing ceremony to realize the bid package of supplying electro-mechanical equipment and engineering services for Vinh Son 5 Hydropower Project. The total contract value is USD7.428 million.

 

On the morning of March 22, 2010, Vinh Son Investment Joint Stock Company (VSI) and Union Resources & Engineering Co., Ltd (UREC, China) held the contract signing ceremony to realize the bid package of supplying electro-mechanical equipment and engineering services for Vinh Son 5 Hydropower Project. The total contract value is USD7.428 million.

Vinh Son 5 Hydropower Project is in the stair - step planning of hydropower plants on the Kon River with an installed capacity of 28MW, with a targeted annual contribution to the national power grid of over 110 billion kWh. The project has been implemented in three years with the total investment capital of about VND750 billion, started construction since June of 2009 and operated blocking of natural flow of water on March 10, 2010. The whole project is located in Vinh Kim Commune, Vinh Thanh District with a total length of 6.5 km, including a  storage dam, 2.8 km of drainage canal,  3.2 km of drainage tunnel and a plant with two generators. It is expected to generate power in early 2012.
