Gia Lai province attends Vietnam - Korea Economic Forum

On the morning of August 12, 2025, An economic forum between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea was held in in Seoul (Korea) as part of the Party General Secretary To Lam’s State visit to South Korea from August 10-13. The event was attended by Korean Prime Minister Kim Min Seok, senior leaders of the two countries and more than 400 Vietnamese and Korean enterprises

 

Leaders of the two countries witness the signing of cooperation agreements between units and enterprises

Gia Lai province investment promotion delegation led by Mr Ho Quoc Dung, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Mr Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended the Forum. It is an activity within the framework of the Investment Promotion Program of Gia Lai province in Korea from August 10, 2025 to August 14, 2025.

At the Forum, Gia Lai province made a significant imprint by signing two important Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Korean partners, including: MOU between Phu My Investment Group Joint Stock Company and Eric C&C Company on cooperation in developing automatic ports, smart logistics solutions and digital infrastructure to serve Phu My port and MOU between Viet Phuc Company Limited and Midas Holding Co., Ltd. on cooperation to develop fruit preservation systems, building agricultural processing facilities, cold logistics chains, and expanding cooperation in other areas in the agricultural value chain. The agreements open up golden opportunities to attract large-scale investment capital flows, apply high technology, in line with the province's sustainable socio-economic development orientation. It is also an important step forward, contributing to strengthening and further tightening the friendly cooperative relationship between Gia Lai province and Korean partners. 

Participating in the Vietnam - Korea Economic Forum 2025 is one of the province's investment promotion activities in Korea to maintain the long-term cooperative relationship that the two sides have established, focusing on attracting large-scale, high-tech projects, associated with the effective exploitation of the transport - logistics infrastructure system, creating momentum to promote international trade, expanding the province's commodity export market, thereby contributing to enhancing Gia Lai's position on the international investment attraction map and promoting sustainable socio-economic growth.

In the following days in Korea, Gia Lai province will continue to meet with Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Korea Marine Development Corporation (KOBC) and Busan Port. These are strategic partners with potential and experience in seaports, logistics, international trade, infrastructure and import-export support services.
